Coming out of Oslo’s vibrant music scene, Sūn Byrd brings a fresh take on modern soul, deeply rooted in the 60s and 70s popular music.Sūn Byrd is a recently formed band that released their self-titled debutalbum, ‘Sūn Byrd’, in the spring of 2024, with the first single, ‘Half the Truth,’ reaching more than 100 000 streams across streaming platforms.
Autumn 2025, the band wrote and recording not one, but two new albums with recordings in both Norway and Italy. The highly productive group has performed over 200 shows through various venues in Oslo.
Even though Johan sings the songs, all members of the seven-piece band contribute songs and musical ideas, which strengthens the band’s personality and makes their sound special. With their unique and energizing style, Sūn Byrd is ready to take the step beyond Norway’s borders.
