Come celebrate the final weeks of summer in Sedona with Szn in the Sun, with a new album on the way you’ll be the first to hear some of their new tracks live (and trust us, they’re amazing)! Szn in the Sun is a live looping duo based in Arizona, blending eclectic influences from hip hop, reggae, funk, indie, blues, and soul.
A stacked undercard of AZ homies will set the vibes right, including a rare Cable Management set (always a treat), Soundslurp, Twyatt Earp, and Soundscrybe.
Come on up (or down) to Sedona for a tasty weekend of music and good vibes. If this is your first time to @humankindcenter, it is the first venue SPOTLAB has designed the production for – no alcohol means no curfew and we’re quite proud of the sound and lighting.

Szn In The Sun is an electrifying musical duo hailing from the vibrant landscapes of Arizona, formed by two talented looping artists: Christopher “Monty” Montgomery from California and Danny “Flip Man Dan” McManus from New York.
Monty, with his roots in the eclectic Californian music scene, brings a unique flair influenced by hip hop, reggae, funk, and hard rock guitar, while Flip Man Dan, a New York native, infuses his sound with live drums, keys, blues, and soul. Together, they formed Szn In The Sun, a name that reflects their sunny disposition and the fusion of genres that defines their music. Cable Management is a live electronic project that merges the dynamic energy of a DJ set with real-time guitar, percussion, and vocals. Based in Arizona, the group unites longtime collaborators Twyatt Earp and SoundScrybe with live-looping duo Szn in the Sun, channeling their different backgrounds into a format that connects audiences across the electronic and live music scenes.
The group's sound is characterized by a hybrid approach, blending carefully selected electronic cuts and driving basslines with live guitar riffs, FX manipulation, and vocals ranging from melodic hooks to rapid-fire hip-hop verses — all performed in real time. SoundSlurp is the shapeshifting union of SoundScrybe and Twyatt Earp — a genre-hopping DJ duo rooted in the deserts of Arizona. Twyatt Earp is an Arizona based DJ with a playful approach to music selection, uninhibited by genre or expectation. Whether he’s playing a house set infused with world beats, breaks and funk or dives deep into slow and sexy bass peppered with familiar samples, Twyatt has a knack for drawing folks onto the dancefloor and keeping them moving with his hip-hop driven journeys and southwestern flair.

SoundScrybe is the DJ moniker of Arizona-based music professional Christian Cortes — co-founder of June Jam and an active voice in the Southwest’s thriving independent event landscape. Guided by a deep love of electronic music, he has shaped his sound over more than a decade in the scene: promoting shows, curating events, and working closely with artists to help bring their music into the world.
