In-store Pop-up - Angie Hollick, Felted Textiles - 21st September 2024Join us for an exciting in-store Pop-up with Angie Hollick Felted Textiles, Saturday 21st September 2024. This event is part of our programme to showcase & support local sustainable businesses.
Angie Hollick is a Nottingham-based Artist/Crafter with passion for textiles, the outdoors and the environment. She designs and hand makes a unique range of bags, purses, felted pictures and greetings cards.
With sustainability and utilising waste from the fashion industry at the forefront of her business, she utilises preloved textiles in all of her makes. So look out for vintage woollen blankets and denim waste as the mainstay of her bags. And spot the incorporation of pre-loved silks, cotton, wool scarves and other interesting fabrics which are used to add design and detail.
Angie repurposes discarded wool packaging by ‘wet felting’ it into backgrounds for greetings cards and pictures. She gathers the coloured fibres from those de-stashing their craft supplies! She sources greetings cards and packaging from a UK company chosen for providing recycled and compostable products.
At the Felted Textile pop-up expect:
