Macie Stewart is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, songwriter, and improvisor based in Chicago, IL. Her latest release, When The Distance Is Blue (on International Anthem), is a beguiling mix of song structures, modern composition tactics, and experimental sound.

In addition to her solo work, Macie is a prolific arranger and string player (collaborating with a long list of luminaries including Makaya McCraven, SZA, and Japanese Breakfast) and is one-half of the art-rock duo Finom (fka OHMME).

Most recently, Macie is a touring and recording member of Jeff Tweedy's band, opening a run of US shows in fall 2024 with her solo work.
