Join Synergize and St. Vincent de Paul to serve our neighbors in downtown Indianapolis on either (Thursday, June 8 ) or (Saturday, June 10)! (Or both!)WHAT IS ST VINCENT DE PAUL?
SVdP is a global non-profit organization with a chapter in Indianapolis. They have the largest grocery-store style food bank in the midwest, which feeds over 4,000 families in Indianapolis per week!!
In addition to the food pantry, SVdP also runs two Mission 27 furniture and clothing resale stores (which help fund the pantry), a bicycle repair program for unhoused people, and a program called Changing Lives Forever, which uses an 18-class cohort to help people discover ways to break cycles of generational poverty.
WHAT ARE THE VOLUNTEER SHIFTS?
Thursday, June 8: 4:45pm - 8:00pm-ish (Includes prep time and closing)
Saturday, June 10: 7:45am - 12:30pm-ish (includes prep time and closing)
Volunteer lunch & learn (Saturday, June 10): 1:30pm - 3:30pm. Volunteers from both Thursday and Saturday are welcome to attend this lunch & learn!
