Synchronous Firefly Guided Tour at Wall Doxey State Park

Discover the magic of millions of rare Synchronous and Cypress Fireflies at Wall Doxey State Park in Holly Springs, MS in a 30-minute tour! Enjoy a night-time nature walk with State Park experts as you view the animated "Lightning Bugs" show. Entry is free but on a first come, first serve basis.

Tours occur every 15 minutes starting at 8 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m. The last tour will begin at 9:45 p.m. Tours are limited to 20 people per 30-minute tour.

Please be mindful of the following rules in order to protect our native species:

We can not guarantee firefly sightings. No pets are allowed. We ask guests to refrain from using bug spray on the trail. Please spray in or near your vehicles and not within the park during the tour. We also ask that lights, such as flashlights, not be used during the tour.
