Curious about the future of critical resources and their role in advancing emerging technologies?
SCRiMMaJE brings together federal agency thought leaders, faculty and students with subject matter expertise, and industry stakeholders to address the complex role of critical resources, minerals, and materials in emerging technology sectors essential to maintaining competitiveness in areas such as renewable energy generation and storage, next-gen computing and wireless technologies, advanced materials for healthcare, and space technology.
The symposium will focus on five interdisciplinary topics that undergird these critical technology areas, including:
- Mineral and Energy Resources: Extraction, processing, and alternative sources,
- Energy Materials: Innovations in material design for the clean energy transition,
- Policy, Governance, and Communities: Secure and resilient infrastructure for critical minerals and other resources,
- Environmental Sustainability: Impacts of resource extraction and clean energy technologies on environmental and human health, and
- Education and workforce development needs and opportunities.
This event is in-person only and registration is open to all.
