Symposium Books x Long Live Beerworks present Open Mic

Join us at Long Live Beerworks from 7-9pm as they host our monthly open mic! Enjoy a beer while featured musician Indira performs r&b/pop songs live!!!

We have one major rule: be kind!!! Our open mics are a judgment free zone for local artists to hone their craft for an audience, but it's also for newbies who may be too intimidated to perform. We strive to make our events inclusive and caring.

For performers:

Slots fill up fast so please sign up online by clicking the performers slot under tickets and/or showing up at 6:30 the day of to sign up in-store.

Performers will get 5-10 minutes (depending on turnout) to perform whatever they choose: song, dance, performance art, poetry+prose reading, you name it!

About our featured musician:

Indira has been a featured artist on WPRI 12, Power 102.1 FM Providence and Channel 8 News Indianapolis. Most recently the singer songwriter was named best R&B Artist by the Rhode Island Music Awards 2026.

Indira’s previous single, “Good Thing” released with award winning multi instrumentalist Pat Van Dyke, was featured on several Apple Music editorial playlists and was even highlighted by the music distribution company, CD baby.

Indira co-headlined Under the Radar Music Festival in Providence, RI and opened for the Newport Film Festival. Drawing thousands of listeners with her raw sincerity and vocal talent.
