Symphony of Santoor is a first-of-its-kind, large-format musical production conceptualised and led by Pt Rahul Shivkumar Sharma. The project presents the Santoor — one of India’s most revered classical instruments — in a grand symphonic format, combining Indian classical depth with contemporary orchestral arrangements. After collaborating with Grammy Winners Kenny G., Deep Forest, Richard Clayderman & more than 75 Albums, Rahul Sharma's Santoor goes symphonic. Banyan Tree is proud to showcase it to Indian audiences. The scale, production values, and artistic stature of the project place it among premium, international-standard music experiences. This is one of the largest and most ambitious Santoor-led productions ever staged in India. With a 35 Member International Chamber Orchestra supporting the 100-stringed instrument, this makes for an enthralling global showcase of sound across genres, tapping into Indian Classical Music, Western Classical Music, as also Jazz and eternal Bollywood tunes. The Orchestra will be conducted by Samuel Tamarit Otero, of the Czhech Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice. Banyan Tree Events, as presenters of the project, have a long-standing track record of producing and executing premium music events across India.
