Under the direction of Music Director Robert Carter Austin, Symphony Arlington brings together professional musicians from across North Texas for one of the most festive evenings of the season.
The celebration begins with Leroy Anderson’s A Christmas Festival, a sparkling orchestral medley filled with some of the most recognizable melodies of Christmas. George Whitefield Chadwick’s beautiful Noël and selections from Gian Carlo Menotti’s beloved Christmas opera Amahl and the Night Visitors bring warmth and storytelling to the program.
Samuel Barber’s Die Natali transforms familiar Christmas melodies into a rich and colorful orchestral work, while Jingle Bells Forever gives a holiday favorite a spirited symphonic treatment.
The festivities continue with Jim Stephenson’s A Charleston Christmas, bringing rhythmic energy and a touch of Roaring Twenties flair to the season.
Mezzo-soprano Lauren Randolph joins Symphony Arlington for this special holiday celebration, leading into a favorite Symphony Arlington tradition: the Annual Christmas Sing-Along. Raise your voice alongside the orchestra and share in the music of the season as the Arlington Music Hall comes alive with Christmas cheer.
