Symphonies and Songs for Strings
The Du Bois Orchestra Chamber Music Series presents:
Symphonies and Songs for Strings
An evening of evocative new chamber music by composer Robert Rogler, featuring a whimsical string symphony, a fiery piano trio, selections from Act III of the ballet The Twelve Dancing Princesses, and intimate songs and duets with string quartet. Inspired by the poetry of Keats, Brontë, Marlowe, and others, the vocal works on the program explore themes of longing, lyricism, and the fragile beauty of human connection. The concert includes two U.S. premieres and one world premiere. The performance runs approximately 75 minutes.
Saturday, June 13, 7:00 PM. Harvard University Lutheran Church. Admission is free; donations are welcome.
