About this Event
Join us for a celebration of the language diversity!
The purpose of this festival is to show the great linguistic diversity of languages in existence. It is our hope, that by the end of this event, you'll not only have gained a greater insight into the languages on display, but also have realised, that no matter its size, each languages is equally important in the eyes of its native speakers.
Each language at the festival will be presented in short segments, touching on both its linguistic and cultural aspects, including Aboriginal languages of Australia, East Java languages (Arekan, Mataraman, Tengger, Osing and Madura), Indo-Iranian languages (Urdu, Punjabi, Nepali, Kalasha and Sanskrit), Constructed languages (Solresol, Volapük, Tokipona, Loglan and Esperanto), Mongolic languages (Dagur, Buryat, Kalmyk, Monguor and Mongolian).
