Immerse yourself in a transglobal party featuring some of Sydney’s best underground electronic musicians providing techno, electro and breaks against live mixed-reality exchanges with dancers in Sydney and Mexico, interactive audio-visual installations, and aerial performance artists.
Box of Birds invites you to celebrate the closing night of the Sydney Fringe Festival at a party of futuristic sights and sounds in the heart of the city, set in our pop-up venue on Sydney Harbour -- the atmospheric Lighthouse Gallery at the Australian National Maritime Museum.
This event takes place on land belonging to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation. We acknowledge these traditional custodians, and pay our respects to their cultures.
We aim to provide a safe and respectful party environment. If you are made to feel uncomfortable at any point in the evening, don't hesitate to notify staff.

Music
----------
// Morgan Huggins
Morgan Huggins is a semi-nomadic Australian musician whose electronic productions are equal parts nostalgic, emotive and energetic. He draws inspiration from many places, from the ethereal elements of trance, to the naive honesty of pure disco and the more subtle nuances of IDM.

// Land Systems (live)
Land Systems is the industrial dance and ambient-infused techno project of Sydney-based producer Nathan Moas. His music combines distortion and grit with lush melodies to explore the more vulnerable and untamed aspects of dance music. At the heart of the project is a well curated modular synthesizer that is sampled and processed alongside computer-based softwares.

// Olssu
Olssu's DJ sets provide a rich selection of fresh and classic sounds, from introspective tunes to kicking electro and techno sure to shake the dancefloor.

// Alon Ilsar (live)
'...like peeking around the corner of the time-space continuum and glimpsing the future' (Sydney Morning Herald). Alon Ilsar is a drummer, composer, instrument designer and researcher. He is the co-designer of a new gestural instrument for electronic percussionists, the AirSticks.

// Lumic (live)
Known for their dance focused live sets, Lumic weaves techno with elements of Jazz and Rnb in search for the dancefloor sweet spot somewhere between synthetic and organic. They draw in inspiration from UK Dance, Dub and Footwork to curate a set that will take you through the deep depths and up to the shimmering shallows.
