Sydney Childrens Choir presents: Voices of Parliament
About this Event
Sydney Childrens Choir presents: Voices of Parliament
Join us on Sunday 13 September 2026 for 'Voices of Parliament', a free public performance that transforms the Parliament of NSW through music.
Featuring newly commissioned works by Australian composer Alice Chance, inspired by the stories, history and unique Parliament of NSW precinct, audiences will be guided through the building, experiencing music in some of its most significant and unexpected spaces.
Presented by the Sydney Children's Choir in partnership with the Parliament of NSW, this unique cultural activation brings together young voices, new Australian music and the opportunity to experience the Parliament of NSW in a whole new way.
Booking into a Group
Rather than a traditional concert, the audience will book into one of five groups. The groups will walk separately through the Parliament of NSW while the choirs remain in place, creating a guided musical journey through the building's historic chambers, traditions and architecture.
If you are attending with family, friends or other members of your party, it is important that everyone books into the same group. Only audience members booked into the same group will experience the event together. Once groups reach capacity, availability cannot be guaranteed, so we recommend booking together in the same group. Groups will move separately throughout the Parliament of NSW for the duration of the performance.

About the Collaboration
This public program is the result of a unique collaboration between the Parliament of NSW, the Sydney Children's Choir (Gondwana Choirs) and composer Alice Chance.
As part of the creative development process, Alice spent time immersed in the Parliament of NSW, meeting with staff, exploring the building and learning about the stories, traditions and spaces that have shaped its character. These experiences informed a suite of new works created especially for this project.
Performed by more than 200 young singers, 'Voices of Parliament' invites audiences to experience the Parliament of NSW as both a civic institution and a place of creativity, culture and community connection.
