It’s that time of the year again and we invite you all to our annual SXSBlog Raceday Event at Silverback Off Road Speedway in Mears Michigan, May 11th 2024! This is a strictly all side-by-side event for all sizes and brand machines.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
-Spectating is 100% FREE to come in and watch.
-Helmets, long sleeve shirt and long pants are a MUST to be able to compete in any event throughout the day.
-Racing/Testing tickets will be available to purchase at the concession stand.
-There will be food and drinks that can be purchased at the concession stand on site.
-Parking and camping starting FRIDAY first come first served. Contact track for details: (231-629-6379)
-Main event tent will be up next to the concession stand for people to sit or stand to stay out of the elements if need be.
-Party and bonfire after the event!
-BYOB (absolutely no driving while drinking)
-SXSBlog merch will be available all day Saturday for purchasing.

-There will be 4 wide test and tune on a 300’ groomed sand drag strip.
The 4 main events will consist of:
1.) Quick 16 heads up outlaw shootout. Fastest 16 will be chosen by a SXSBlog member throughout the day. Payout (TBD)
2.) Bracket Racing with dial in Payout (TBD)
3.) Short Course Competition Payout (TBD)
4.) Long Jump Competition Payout (TBD)
CLASS DETAILS:
1.) Quick 16 Outlaw shootout: The outlaw shootout is straight up “run what ya brung” 16 of the fastest sxs’s on the property racing heads up in single elimination rounds throughout the day! If you think you have one of the fastest machines around, then come find out if it’s true! Contestants are hand picked by the staff!
2.) Bracket Racing: Our most popular event for all size machines.
Doesn’t matter if you have a 900 RZR or a 400hp x3 this class is all about dial in times, reaction times, and consistency. Any machine can win this class, it doesn’t matter what you have parked in the garage.
3.) Short Course: This event is a 4-machine wide event where you get to test your machine and your driving skills against 3 other drivers at a time around a short course track built by Silverback Offroad themselves. Winners continue through different rounds until there is a final winner.
4.) Long Jump Competition: This event is just how it sounds! This is a competition where drivers jump their machines to see who can send their machines the furthest distance!
LONG JUMP AND SHORT COURSE!!!!!
For anyone wanting to or thinking of competing in the long jump or the short course competition please know that safety is our absolute priority so some requirements to compete in these events have changed.
1.) Must have an aftermarket roll cage.
2.) Must have 5-point harnesses.
3.) Must have a neck brace. (Please bring your own!)
4.) Window nets or wrist restraints required
5.) Machines will be evaluated before each competition to determine if they are safe to compete in these events.
