San Xavier Mine Tours for Students Interested in a Sustainable Mineral Resources Minor
All students interested in the School of Mining & Mineral Resources' minor in Sustainable Mineral Resources or a degree in Mining Engineering are invited to tour the University of Arizona's San Xavier Underground Mine operated by the Department of Mining & Geological Engineering on one of the following dates from 9am-12pm:
- September 10th
- October 8th,
- November 5th
Free food and prizes will be provided!
- Deadline to sign up is 5 days before the tour date
- Space is limited so if you register, please endeavor to attend.
- Students are encouraged to carpool amongst themselves.
- Transportation provided if needed, however students you must show up & attend if you signed up for transportation.
- For those needing transportation, please arrive to Mines & Metallurgy Building at 8:45am , the car will depart at 9:00 am SHARP.
- For those providing your own transportation, please arrive to the mine by 9:50am.
- Please let us know of any dietary restrictions ASAP.
- If you RSVP, please uphold the commitment as supplies and space is limited.
