SWORDS OF LIGHT launched their Horslips tribute at the Black Box, Belfast at the November 2022 Horslips Con in front of a rapt audience which included Horslips band members Jim Lockhart and Barry Devlin – who gave the band their full endorsement. Later that same night Barry declared them “The Horslips tribute band of the future”. Since then they have continued their mission to keep the incredible legacy of Horslips music alive and have played to delighted Horslips fans in three countries and now they return to where they started – bringing their unique Horslips tribute show back to the Black Box. You can expect a set of back to back Horslips classics such as “The Man Who Built America”, “Trouble with a Capital T” and of course “Dearg Doom”.
Belfast-based singer-songwriter Davy "Ludwig" O'Neill, frontman of bands over the years such as Chalice, The Bush Turkeys, Apartment and Reeferadio and himself a keen Horslips fan will get things started with his own brand of eclectic sounds from his latest original work. A mix of rock, blues, celtic, country, reggae and Americana rendered acoustically to ease you into what promises to be an excellent evening.
