Another Experiential Travel through cycling tastefully curated by SCT in collaboration with Swiss Tourism Board.
This itinerary is a 'scaled-down version' of the otherwise more challenging <alpine panaroma="" full="" route="">, with customisation & designed by SCT to end in Zermatt for iconic landmark The Matterhorn.
The journey offers magnificent views along trails with plenty of passes and gorges which are ideal for road cyclists, as it cuts through the northern foothills of the Alps with its traditional cultures, settlements and Alpine farms.
We tweaked the itinerary to include partial train travel so that you can experience the beauty of the Swiss countryside, while at the same time, take some time off the saddle to enjoy a different experience.
This shows our continuous focus on experiential travel & bucket list kind of trips for our cyclists.

Day01 - Arrival to Zurich / Schaffhausen / Rhine Falls (cycle 55km)
Highlights: Rhine Falls , medieval town Stein am Rhein
Day02 - Umasch / Appenzell / Rapperswil Lucerne (cycle 57km + train journey)
Highlights: Old town of St Gallen, painted buildings of Appenzell
Day03 - Lucerne / Old Gotthard / Pilatus (cycle 60km)
Highlights: Lion monument, Europe' oldest covered Chapel Bridge
Day04 - Lucerne / Tremola Gotthard pass / Andermatt (cycle 30km + train journey)
Highlights: nostalgic classic Val Tremola pass on cobblestone, scenic train ride to Airolo
Day05 - Andermatt / Interlaken (cycle 70km + train journey)
Today is the king stage.
Highlights: Furka pass, Grimsel pass with a wonderful lunch stop by an alpine lake
Day06 - Interlaken / Grindelwald / Interlaken (cycle 40-50km + train journey)
Highlights: Lake Brienz, Grindelwald mountain village, north face of Eiger, Gr. Scheidegg the pearl of countryside cycling.
Day07 - Interlaken / Spiez / Zermatt (cycle 30-35km)
Highlights: Lake Thun, the Matterhorn
Our Tour of Swisse ends with a high note at the iconic landmark of Switzerland, The Matterhorn.
Cable car up to Glacier Paradise for a fantastic view of the Alps.
Day08 - Departure from Zermatt or own extension (hiking or sightseeing in Zermatt)
Free for own program after breakfast.
