The Why for Swings for Julie:
"After the birth of my second daughter in 2010 I was never fully recovered and continually felt “off” almost all of the time. When I finally went to see a doctor I embarked on a 3 year journey of diagnosis, treatment, and surgeries, that did not solve the problem. I went through treatments of rituxan, methotrexate, IVIG, and had a battery of tests and scans. The diagnosis of all types of auto immune diseases from lupus to Lymes disease was projected. None of which was correct nor did the treatments help. Thankfully after an open lung biopsy, removal of my spleen and gal bladder, and a heart attack did I find Dr Stephen J. Forman at the city of Hope. He finally found my malady to be non Hodgkins T cell lymphoma. Not only did he diagnose it but he also persuaded the board to take my case on and treat me (as the consensus was I was too far on to be helped). After severe rounds of chemo and a stem cell transplant, I am thankfully still here today to be a mother, wife, daughter, and friend to so many.
