Summer's in Full Swing as Little Man Ice Cream & Swingin' Denver welcome you to celebrate the United States of America's 250th Birthday this July 4th. Guests are encouraged to dress in their Red, White & Blue best and swing the night away before the fireworks begin!!
The night will begin with a beginner Lindy Hop lesson at 7:30pm followed by the Zach Mautz Trio playing 8-10pm. Lindy Hop is a beautiful rhythmic partner dance created by Black Americans during the Harlem Renaissance and is a way to celebrate liberation, joy and freedom with each other.
Also, it wouldn’t be summer without HUNI’s (Highland United Neighbors Incorporated) annual Highland 4th of July Bike Parade and Picnic, and Little Man Ice Cream’s After-Party. This year, the coveted community affair celebrates its 19th anniversary of bringing friends and family together for bike decorating, a bike parade, live music, kids' fun, and a free picnic hosted by Riverside Church. Meet on 32nd and Clay at 9:30 am to celebrate the Highlands and America’s 250th!
Little Man Ice Cream revels in its adulthood with an 18th birthday after-party at 11:30 am, including Firecracker Floats w/sparklers, free sprinkles, and a performance by their favorite, colorful dancers, Ballet Folklorico Mexico en la Piel.
