Swing For The Fences

Join us on July 21st for our Swing for The Fences event at the Toledo MudHens, where we'll raise awareness for The RIDGE Project and Ohio Youth Congress. We'll be near the front gates at 2pm to distribute shirts and tickets. The gates open at 3pm, and we'll meet at guest services to check in for the parade! It's also a MudHen Family Day, open to anyone with a game ticket for that day. Hensville Park opens one hour before the Mud Hens' first pitch and closes an hour after the game.

• Pregame Player Autographs: Meet two players before every Sunday home game in section 119, presented by Roosters Wings.
• Kids Run the Bases: Children 12 and under can run the bases at Fifth Third Field after EVERY Sunday home game, sponsored by Roosters Wings, WFOB & WBVI

The Ohio Youth Congress is an initiative designed to engage young people from across the state of Ohio in civic and community activities. This program aims to empower youth by providing them with leadership training, opportunities to participate in legislative processes, and platforms to voice their opinions on issues affecting their communities. Participants include high school and middle school students who are interested in politics, social justice, and community service.

The pillars of Ohio Youth Congress are:

1. Leadership Development: Workshops and seminars that equip young people with the skills needed to become effective leaders and advocates.
2. Legislative Engagement: Opportunities to learn about the legislative process, meet with state lawmakers, and discuss policy issues.
3. Community Service: Initiatives that encourage youth to get involved in local community service projects, fostering a sense of civic responsibility.
4. Advocacy and Public Speaking: Training in public speaking and advocacy to help participants effectively communicate their ideas and influence public policy.

Through these activities, the Ohio Youth Congress seeks to cultivate a new generation of informed, engaged, and active citizens who are ready to contribute positively to their communities and the broader society.
