Swing Dance Lessons for Absolute Beginners! • No partner needed • Petaluma

Singles and couples alike are welcome to this fun and lively 4-part series in Petaluma on -- East Coast Swing Dance.

Enjoy 4 classes of Swing Dance with Jasmine Worrell Dance starting on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Class runs 4 Thursdays in a row.

Beginning Swing Dance is held from 7-8pm at Hermann Sons Hall at 860 Western Avenue in Petaluma. Email or text Jasmine to enroll in the Intermediate level, if you are an intermediate swing dancer: [email protected] or (510)388-5498. Intermediate requires 3+ months of swing dance experience and runs from 6-7pm, right before the beginning class.

If you are brand new dancer or brand new to swing dance, this series is for you! Swing is a fun social dance that is an instantly accessible way to enjoy social dancing to swing jazz, blues and rock and roll music. Swing is a form of social partner dance that evolved from Lindy Hop in the 1940s, and is based in six-count patterns that are simplified forms of Lindy Hop patterns. Enjoy a beautiful community of swing dancers and learn how to dance to jazz, blues and rock and roll. Absolutely no experience or partner needed. Simply show up, and I will provide the dance partner, as most students come alone/single. Just bring comfy shoes to dance in and your own water. You will need to show your vaccination card at the first class.

Class is for singles and couples, alike! Everyone is welcome!

INSTRUCTOR: Encouraging and warm swing instructor has over 15 years of swing dance experience, and the class offers a very casual, friendly, positive space to learn.
