Certification Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for MBE certification in Florida, businesses must meet these criteria:
- Registered as a for-profit business in Florida
- Based in Florida, owned, and managed by a Florida resident
- 51% owned by a woman, veteran, or minority who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Currently engaged in commercial transactions
- Registered with MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP)
- Net worth under $5 million, with 200 or fewer full-time employees
- Professional license (if required) in the owner’s name
