Sweeteaters is an indie pop duo based in NYC consisting of Emily Tepe (IVA) Geoff Bennington (Gillian, Jeremy and the Harlequins) and whatever other friends they can convince to tag along. The two craft hook-centered sing alongs with Emily’s siren-like voice (developed during a past life as an opera singer) contrasting and at times melding with Geoff’s gravelly tenor (developed from years of playing rock music and smoking too much). This show is a fundraiser for their first EP, currently in the works at their studio in Greenpoint.
