Sweet Track Walk (Heritage Open Days)

Step back in time and tread the ancient paths of Britain's Neolithic history with a guided walk along the famed Sweet Track. Preserved in the peat of Shapwick Heath for nearly 6000 years, the timber trackway offers a fascinating insight into prehistoric engineering, woodwork and travel. Led by Ranger Jon Macaulay, this exclusive 3-hour tour will give you a unique insight into the area's rich heritage.
