About this Event
Join us at the John C. Pair Horticultural Center to learn about two fall crop favorites: pumpkins and sweet potatoes! Dr. Jason Griffin, Director at the John C. Pair Center, will explain how to select the best varieties, and how to plant, care for, and harvest your crop. We’ll finish the night with a harvesting equipment demonstration.
The John C. Pair Horticultural Center cultivates sweet potatoes specifically for propagation and slip sales during the summer. The sweet potatoes harvested as part of this demonstration will be reserved for that purpose and will not be available for participants to take home.
