Sweet Pastry Class with Chef David

In this class, we will master sweet pastry, creating two wonderful desserts - A luxurius & frangrant fragrant Lemon Tart and a Pear & Chocolate frangipane tart.

Together we will make the sweet pastry, based on a typical shortcrust but with our Bridge Baker recipe. Making pastry can be tricky, but we will help you to master this skill with expert guidance.

This class is suitable for all levels of experience and runs for about 2.5 hours.

Allergen information: this course uses wheat, dairy and egg. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to tailor recipes for substitutions or alterations, as these can fundamentally change the end results.

What’s included:

Ingredients, utensils, knives, equipment, aprons and carrier bags are provided for all courses. Some meals are included in the price of the class, as stated.

We reserve the right to make amendments to course content and recipes without notice.

Age requirements:

Unless otherwise specified, minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also participating in the workshop. No classes are suitable for kids under the age of 7.

Health & Safety:

All participants should wear shoes with flat, non-slip soles and covered toes. We cannot admit you into our kitchens without proper footwear. We recommend wearing sensible clothing (ie. not your Sunday best) and are not liable for any damage that occurs to clothing.

Special dietary requirements & food allergies:

We are unfortunately unable to tailor our course content for special dietary requirements.

Lateness:

Our workshops are packed with as much baking as we can possibly fit into them, so starting on time is crucial. As a result, it is essential you arrive promptly for your workshop.

If you are late, please be aware that the class may have started. Wherever possible, we will allow you to join in, however if you have missed essential parts of the class, this may not be an option. A refund will not be provided in this instance.

Payment:

All payment must be made in full at the time of booking. We do not take provisional bookings and cannot confirm your place on a course until we receive full payment.

Baking Class Gift Vouchers:

Please contact us if you wish to gift a voucher for a specific baking class.

Liability:

Bridge Baker will not accept responsibility for the loss of any personal possessions.

Acceptable usage of course content:

Recipe booklets and reference materials are provided to support students in their ongoing development as incredible bakers and are issued for personal use only. The sharing of course materials by print, press, photocopy, email, blogs, internet or any digital transfer medium is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of Bridge Baker.

Cancellations:

To request a cancellation you must provide Bridge Baker with written notice via email, which should be acknowledged by us.

You may request a change of course date up to two months before the date of the class and we will happily transfer you to another class, subject to availability. You may also request a refund up to two months before the date of the class you have booked. In both instances, rescheduling or refunding bookings will be subject to an administration charge of £10.

In all other cases, we will not be able to refund the price of the class.

Cancellations by Bridge Baker:

Bridge Baker is entitled to cancel any class at any time subject to the repayment of any deposit and fees received in respect of the course or the part of the course which has been cancelled.

In the unlikely event of cancellation of a course by ourselves, we undertake to offer a suitable transfer to an alternative date or class, or a full refund (within 7 days) of any course fees.
