Time for another dive into the deep womb of our dear Mother Earth.
Time for another deep dive into ourselves, where we can rediscover our true nature, shed our old skin and be reborn.

On October 6th, we gather around the sacred fire as the stones are being heated.
We enter the lodge as a tribe, while giving our bodies to the earth as our bodies are our only true belonging.
Let’s spend this moment of healing preparing for the winter, and letting go of what we lived in the previous seasons.

About the ceremony:
The Sweatlodge exist in various tribes and cultures around the world. In different traditions, the ceremony can take different forms and have a lot of variations to the details - but the goal is always the same: To heal, to give and to pray.
In the Sweatlodge, we get a moment of stillness, to connect with all what we are and all that surrounds us. We get time to connect to what really matters to us individually.
The physical lodge consists of a dome structure, covered with multiple layers of wool blankets. In the centre of the lodge is a hole, in which during the ceremony, we fill with glowing hot stones.
Throughout the ceremony, we pour water on the stones, which releases steam and minerals for our bodies to absorb.
Outside of the lodge, we have a big fire which is heating the stones for us, and a committed firekeeper which is serving the ceremony.
During the ceremony we will have four rounds, which we call "doors".
Each door symbolises one of the four of all that surrounds us. The four directions. The four elements. The four seasons. The parts of the moon cycle. The menstrual cycle. The four stages of life.
By passing through these 4 doors, we symbolically pass through a lifetime, and by the end we are reborn.
We stay inside the lodge for the duration of the ceremony, while singing, praying and listening. If one leaves the lodge during the ceremony, he/she can not re-enter.
While we are in the lodge, our one job is to surrender to the heat and to our individual process. We are guided by spirit, by the stones, the fire, our ancestors and the drum.
At moments we pray through sound, at moments we pray through silence. At all times, we pray through our bodies.

For this ceremony, Marita Stewy will be pouring? Bror Hansen will be representing and caring for the fire ?
Important information:
This is a whole day event. The fire is lit at 11:00, and every participant needs to be present 12:00 or absolutely latest 12:30. Later arrival means you can not participate.
Expect to be occupied until 17:00, followed by a shared meal.
Anyone who wants to be present with lighting the fire, is most welcome to be present at 11. You will then get to put stones, with prayers, on the fire.
For women who are breastfeeding babies, you are welcome to participate with someone taking care of your baby outside of the lodge. Breastfeeding mothers are the only ones who will be allowed to leave and re-enter the lodge, in the case their baby needs milk during the ceremony.
Women in their bleeding phase are welcome to participate (with a tobacco tie around the waist), but needs to let us know before the ceremony, and latest at arrival to the location.
There are limited spaces. Sign up is required.
The financial contribution for the ceremony is based on a sliding scale. We ask that you contribute between 400-700 DKK. The intention behind the sliding scale is to make the ceremony available to all, regardless of level of income.
