SWAT Basic is just one step in the much larger process of becoming a trained member on the team. One week of foundational skills that prepare you to become operational and further training once you rejoin your team. We understand that becoming proficient takes time, so we prioritize teaching the most crucial and technically demanding aspects of the job during the training week. This course is a combination of Tactical Rifle 1, CQB 1, TacMed 1 which covers:
•Tactical Firearms (8 hours) - A full day of advanced marksmanship and dynamic training to prepare students to enter the CQB environment.
•Mechanical Breaching Procedures (4 hours) - Arguably the most critical phase of every SWAT operation - the ability to safely and effectively breach into the structure.
•Intro to Tac-Med (4 hours) - The essentials every SWAT officer must know to save their teammates life when seconds count.
•CQB Fundamentals (24 Hours) - Learning the most recent, relevant and effective close quarters tactics in the country.
