Join us on May 11th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Communitas America for an afternoon filled with fashion inspiration, eco-friendly shopping, lite bites, and meaningful connections.


Headlining our event is the incredible Jamie Baker, a renowned fashion expert who will be sharing her insights on "Fashion is Fleeting – Style is Sustainable." Through her engaging presentation, Jamie will guide you on a transformative journey to discover your unique fashion voice and craft a style that truly represents who you are. Learn how to love yourself and express your authenticity through your clothing choices, regardless of your age, size, or budget. You will learn the secret tried and tested method to Repurpose Your Loved Items. But that's not all!


We've partnered with the amazing Miss Ralzie's Closets to bring you a fabulous swap shop experience. Bring your gently used items to donate and swap for new pieces! Refresh your wardrobe without breaking the bank or harming the environment by trading in your gently used clothing items and accessorizing with incredible finds from fellow fashion lovers. It's the perfect opportunity to give your closet a sustainable makeover while connecting with like-minded individuals who share your passion for eco-friendly fashion.As you mingle and explore, indulge in delightful light bites that will keep you energized and inspired throughout the event.

Jamie Baker:

Jamie Baker has an art history background, which along with her experience as a collector both combine to form an insurance law practice focused on litigation and coverage with a special interest in fine art, specie, and other valuable articles issues. She is also a regular speaker and author on business and legal issues for artists and fine art insurers. Jamie’s experience includes litigation and coverage projects involving complex insurance and business issues under a variety of policy lines. She is experienced in case evaluation, strategy, and motion practice; contract negotiations/review; and extensive oral advocacy.

Miss Ralzie’s Closets was founded to help the ordinary person cleanout, organize and rebuild their closets that best suit their personalities and lifestyles Keep clothing out of landfills and in circulation!

Are you someone who has a closet full of clothes but never knows what to wear? Is your closet filled with clothing that you’ve never worn but might wear it someday? Miss Ralzie’s goal is to fine tune your closet and get rid of any “mights”, allowing you to have space for clothing you need. This will help remove any anxiety you may have when getting ready!

Do you know what to do with your clothes when you don’t want them anymore? Do you know how to dispose of clothing that is no longer in wearable condition? Miss Ralzie is here to teach you about sustainability and circularity! To keep clothing out of landfills, we need to find our clothes a new life! And that new life can look many ways! Your clothes can find a new closet to live in. Or it can be upcycled into a jazzier piece. Or it can be recycled to make something else!

Repurpose Your Life has transformed the lives of 30 women through its mind, body, and closet decluttering program. Founded by Isabel Varela, 2019 "ChangeMaker of the Year," the company champions sustainability across 25+ global stages like Ford, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and Columbia University. Recently featured as a sustainable life coach expert on CNN and NY1, Repurpose Your Life has diverted over 3,000 pounds of textile waste from landfills while cultivating a 2,000-member community. Through non-profit partnerships, the company facilitated 2,500 pounds of clothing donations via clean outs.
