Swan Songs Presents: Mojo Holler and Jody Carroll

Jody is an award-winning blues and roots songwriter and master fingerstyle and slide guitarist whose Get Inside This House was voted Best Independent Blues Release of the Year by the International Blues Foundation. He's shared stages with Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Johnny Winter, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, Charlie Musselwhite, and many others, drawing from blues, folk, mountain music, and jazz.
Mojo Holler

Mojo Holler is a Portland trio weaving a mix of Americana that runs from the Appalachian mountains to the Mississippi Delta. The band performed at South By Southwest in 2016 following their debut album, Where Black Ravens Flew, and released their most recent album, ROOT, as an acoustic reverie on remorse and redemption. Willamette Week's 2023 Best of Portland issue called them "a delightful slice of Appalachia in the Pacific Northwest."
Together, they offer an evening of American roots music drawn from the deepest wells of the tradition, played by musicians who've spent lifetimes inside it.

Swan Songs creates a sense of connection for individuals near the end of life by gifting them private concerts, and supports live music in a community by compensating artists for the concerts. These intimate musical last wishes concerts are held in healthcare facilities or private homes, and are often attended by family, loved ones, and caregivers. Swan Songs maximizes the impact of the concerts by engaging musicians who match each recipient's favorite style of music, songs, or instruments. From opera to mariachi, bluegrass to the blues, each concert is unique and deeply meaningful for everyone present.
