Guided ride for younger riders rolls out at the same time and meets at the same location as the main guided ride. Swamplings should have basic riding skills, (no training wheels, please!) and enough stamina to be out for a two-hour duration. A parent or other responsible adult must accompany the group, although we encourage you to hang back during the class. Your child will need to understand that this class will be sorta like school - where we ‘listen and learn’. The teacher, Parker Mefford, has been riding since he was four and is currently a coach for NICA, a nationalinterscholastic mountain-bike program.
He’s a thoughtful and mature 18yo who will be perceived by your child as ‘old…...but cool old!’.
Kids will often learn something better from an older sibling than from a parent. ;-)
