After checking in at the Northwest Stream Center, you will go on the universally accessible ½ mile-long Nature Trail that leads you past a Trout Stream Exhibit with viewing widows into freshwater stream habitat. Then you go onto an amazing Elevated Forest and Wetland Walk that winds through more than 20-acres next to North Creek, 3-feet above the forest floor and surrounding wetlands. Beautiful interpretive signs provide a great introduction to Northwest natural resources.
Along the way you will also see many other native flowers popping out, such as flowering red currant, trillium, and salmonberry. Another great thing about the Nature Walk is no more than 5 visitors are allowed every 15 minutes, so you are never in a crowd. At Adopt A Stream Foundation's Northwest Stream Center Nature Trail you will have a very relaxing outdoor experience. And, if you read all the beautiful interpretive signs along the Nature Walk, you will pick up quite a natural resource education to boot.
Enjoy springtime in the Pacific Northwest at its best!
