Swamp by Jade Mars

Below the bridge, there runs a creek of deranged and ancient magic, a wild and chaotic place of musical frog chirps from the muddy and festering earth. ‘Swamp’ is an installation artwork by Adelaide-based artist Jade Mars. Exploring the themes of decomposition and natural deterioration Jade aims to showcase a vibrant and electric neon color pallet of maddened visuals depicting the stages of decay of self through a lens of surreal imagination and hyper color. Mars’ installation will feature a hand-painted mannequin diorama alongside traditionally painted artworks in diorama-style frames depicting unique and organic characters in a mossy and rain-soaked environment.

On this fun launch night, be ready for an exciting unveiling, a flaneur down Fisher Place (bring a torch!) and a celebratory drink at the Richmond Hotel.
