African Somerset, in collaboration with Two Willows Vineyard, is very excited to host "SWAMP BRAAI" where you can enjoy an authentic African Experience within the beautiful surroundings of the Somerset Swamps (Levels). Braaing is all about enjoying the company of family and friends while cooking over an open-fire, listening to great music and soaking up "lekker vibes"!
This year guests can look forward to:
* African-inspired BBQ all cooked over open fire and inside the belly of our bespoke Somerset Smoker called KUBU (The Hippo).
* Live performance by by BARAKA playing their unique combination of West African Highlife and South African Township.
* Live music by DJ WAYNE B and DJ P, who will be playing a combination of traditional and contemporary African beats throughout the day.
* The hospitality of the SOMERSET SHEBEEN that will be selling a range of imported African and local refreshments.
* Various activities including the HAY-BALE MOUNTAIN, SOMERSET SKITTLES and plenty of space for kids to run riot.
* Overnight camping on Saturday night for tents and small camper vans is available on request.
