2nd Annual SWAMP BERRY JAM: North Central Florida POETRY SLAM Featuring Many of America's Best Slam Poets!

Last year's Inaugural event was epic, with Dove Dupree winning 1st place and being crowned the Swamp Berry Jam Poetry Slam Champion, winning $1,000.00 first prize. Will he return to defend his crown?
The 2nd Annual Swamp Berry Jam North Central Florida Poetry Slam will be formatted as follows:
Up to 16 Poets will compete. The first round will be 2 mini-bouts of 8 poets each, cutting down to the top 4 poets from each mini-bout. Second round will cut 4 of the 8. Last round will be top 4 poets.
All poems will be 3 minutes with a 20 second grace period. Penalty after 3:20 will be .5 deducted for every 10 seconds or part of 10 seconds over.
All 16 poets will perform the first round, order from random draw. 8 poets will advance to the second round with a redraw for second round order.
4 poets will advance to final round. Order for last round will be a redraw.
All rounds are clean slate. Ties will be broken in first two rounds by an additional 2 minute scored poem, no grace period. Poets may agree to not break tie in last round. Or, an additional 2 minute poem may be performed.
First place is $1000.
Second place is $300
Third place is $200.
First place in this event will also win a berth to the 2025 BlackBerry Peach National Poetry Slam (US Qualifier for the WPSO), happening July 23-27 in Albuquerque NM.
