About this Event
Come participate in a roundtable geared towards how agencies are handling their Leaf Pickup programs. When they schedule this and how often they pickup. What type of equipment they are using, where they are disposing of leaves and what does it cost them to provide this service. What are the problems they face and the successes they are having. We will also discuss their Vegetation Management programs and tree Trimming programs. Who has Pesticide license, do they pay employees extra for the license, how are they providing record keeping and have they been audited by ODA. What resulted in the audits. Are they sending employees for training for arborist work as it relates to tree trimming. What are the agencies doing about litter pickup, dead animals and what constitutes a legit pickup for dead animals on their streets, such as deer, geese domestic animals. Where are they disposing of the carcasses or sofas, TV’s, appliances or any other items not mentioned. This session is designed to talk about those special services outside of our routine tasks such as snow and ice control, pot hole / crack sealing and many other we do.
