Sustainable Food Systems w/ Boise Urban Garden School (BUGS)
About this Event
Join Keep Boise Cool and Boise Urban Garden School (BUGS) for a hands-on look at our local food system. We’ll tour the BUGS site to learn how sustainable growing practices support healthy soil, conserve resources, and make the most of food grown close to home.
BUGS educators will also lead a food preparation demonstration featuring ingredients from the garden. Participants will learn practical ways to use seasonal produce, reduce food waste, and bring more locally grown food into everyday meals.
This program is part of Keep Boise Cool. Attend any three of these events and log them on cityofboise.org/kbc to be eligible to win an 18-week subscription of fresh, local produce through Global Gardens.
