Join Independent North Leeds Florist Anita from @Blumenkind and learn how to use eco-friendly materials and techniques to create a beautiful seasonal floral arrangement for your home or to give as a gift to someone special.
Anita will be bringing her extensive knowledge and expertise as well as a tantalising selection of locally grown flowers and foliage so you can create your very own stunning centrepiece to take home. The skills you will learn will enable you to make your own arrangements time and time again with a focus on using alternatives to damaging floral foam. Floristry is a relaxing and tactile craft and with Anita’s guidance and tuition you leave with a gorgeous arrangement to be proud of.
Tickets cost £54 per person
The ticket price includes all the materials you will need including: quality fresh flowers and foliage from local growers, tools and other materials. If you would like to bring in any foraged branches/foliage/flowers from your garden then these can be incorporated into your designs.
We are encouraging particpants to bring their own vase/ vessel to keep in with our sustainable theme. It needs to be watertight and something you’d like your arrangement displayed in. Ideally not clear glass otherwise the mechanics will be visible through it. An ideal vessel will be a ceramic pot that you would typically get with a house plant from the supermarket. With an opening diameter approximately 15cm. Don’t worry if you haven’t anything suitable we will have spares at the workshop to use.
Our venue:
Fully accessible workshop space.
Café on site serving barista coffees and vegan friendly cakes.
Free parking all day at Northlight.
