New York City, the largest consumer market in the U.S. relies heavily on trucks to move nearly 90% of its freight. This dependence contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions and economic costs due to congestion. With freight volumes projected to grow by 68% by 2045 and a substantial portion of the population living near warehouses, decarbonizing freight transportation has become crucial for both the environment and public health.
