Sustainable App Design Challenge - Brainstorm Session 2

Our planet is struggling and we need to do something about it. If us humans can have enough impact to detriment the earth, then we can have enough impact to improve it.

Join us for one of our mini brainstorming sessions where you will be set a challenge to design your own app to help save the world!

You will be given a set of challenges to overcome and you must brainstorm together in a team (or solo if you prefer!) how you're going to solve the issues. Your mission will be to design an app that can help improve the planet and undo the damage that humans have done to our earth.

This session will be open to people age 8-16 - each attendee must be registered individually.

This event is part of the Open Streets Festival 2023.

We have a limited number of laptops available - in this case, sharing a laptop between two or three young people is common. If you'd prefer to work alone, it is recommended that you bring your own laptop.

You don't need to be a tech expert to come along or even have your own laptop. Just bring your enthusiasm and creativity and we'll supply the rest.

We have limited space available but if space allows, you’re welcome to stay around!

It is CodeBase Stirling policy that all mentors working with young people are STEM Ambassadors, certified by Disclosure Scotland. There are occasions where a person who is considering helping at future events will assist and in this instance they are not certified. These people are not left unsupervised by a certified mentor at any point.

For our DS4G Stirling event, the mentors will be members from Team CodeBase: Lauren (she/her, Community Manager) Rachel (she/her, Digital and Events Support), Callum (he/him, Digital & Operations Support) and Konstantinos (he/him, Digital & Operations Support). All of them are STEM Ambassadors, certified by Disclosure Scotland.
