Environmental laws have increasingly been portrayed as a burden. But what do business leaders themselves think?
About this Event

As the debate around sustainability and competitiveness continues to shape the EU policy agenda, the WWF European Policy Office is organising the timely event "Sustainability for competitiveness: Insights from business leaders", on 29 September from 9:30 to 13:30 at Sofitel Hotel in Brussels.

WWF will present the findings of its Europe-wide survey of business leaders from around Europe, conducted in collaboration with GlobeScan, offering fresh insights into how companies view sustainability, competitiveness, and long-term economic resilience.

This event will also provide an opportunity to hear directly from leaders across sectors, from finance to retail, about their views on EU environmental legislation and their vision for a competitive, resilient, and future-proof European economy.

Confirmed speakers from leading European companies, including H&M, as well as members of the Cabinets of cabinets of Executive Vice President Stéphane Séjourné (Prosperity and Industrial Strategy) and of European Commissioner Jessika Roswall (Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy), will share their perspectives and discuss how sustainability can strengthen Europe’s long-term competitiveness, innovation, and economic stability.

Register now! More details and the full agenda will be shared shortly.
