About this Event
Get Ready for Sustain Charlotte Ambassador Training!
This free training session will last approximately 1.5 hours at the SouthPark Regional Library's community room. Volunteers will be guided through an initial staff presentation about the mission and history of Sustain Charlotte. You'll learn about efforts being taken today to generate a healthier, more equitable, and vibrant community.
Attendees will also be invited to engage in an educational activity, explore outreach resources, and ask questions to build the skills and confidence necessary to represent Sustain Charlotte at community events.
We'll provide a light dinner and drinks. If you have dietary needs, email [email protected] 72 hours in advance.
Who should attend? This ambassador training is geared towards individuals who:
- Have some familiarity with Sustain Charlotte, such as previously attending one of our events, following us on social media, or receiving our newsletter.
- Enjoy meeting new people and sharing enthusiasm for Sustain Charlotte's work.
- Can volunteer with us at least 3 times per year. We have many opportunities on weekends and weekday evenings. Spring and fall are busiest!
How to get there: The SouthPark Regional Library is located at 7015 Carnegie Blvd, Charlotte 28211. We'll be in the community room. We encourage you to use a sustainable form of transportation if it works for you. The library can be reached by CATS bus routes 19, 20, and 28.
