Next Sussex Playwrights meeting: October 6thAll welcome to our October meeting, at the New Venture Theatre bar, as usual.
Flash Drama Prompt
For last few meetings, we’ve set a short play challenge. We read and discussed members’ work on the night.
This super-short play challenge looks like becoming a regular thing ...
If you’d like to come up with a piece for the upcoming meeting, the prompt is [drum roll]:
“The Perfect Host”
A short drama or comedy, three pages or less, A4, Arial or Courier [or similar] 12 point, no more than four actors required [actors can double].
You can experiment. The plays are read by anyone round the table on the night.
Or if you have a short piece / extract from a work in progress, ten minutes or so, do let us know.
Please let us know if you would like to bring a piece – one copy for each required reader plus a copy for the narrator / scene settings etc.
If you can’t print, we can probably read them off phones / pads on the night, if you supply a PDF.
Discussion and feedback after each reading.
If plays are suitable for recording, it may be possible to record them later with actors for a proposed audio podcast.
