Sussex Playwrights July 5 meeting: special guest James Payne

Our July meeting will be our third First Five Pages event, once again featuring Emmy and BAFTA award winning Brighton screenwriter, James Payne:
⭐East Enders core writer with 78 episodes including the 30th anniversary live ep, and winner of Best Single Episode in the 2025 British Soaps Awards
⭐Creator of TV series including Hooten And The Lady
⭐Writer for Mr Selfridge, The Three Musketeers, Ashes to Ashes, Hustle, Death in Paradise among many more
James will be with us again in July and once again we invite you to come and bring the first five pages of your screenplay / play for a round table read, discussion and pro feedback from James on the night.
Always very enjoyable, thought provoking and supportive, it's your chance to share your work and receive real world feedback from a writer who knows the business of writing.
Let us know if you've written something to bring to the meeting so we can plan.

Please bring one copy for each required reader, plus a copy for the narrator / scene settings etc.
The first five pages, A4, Arial [or similar] 12 point.
The pieces are read and discussed round the table on the night.
All welcome - come along and share good conversation, networking, and latest news.

You can join on the night for £30 for the full year.
Visitors: £5 on the door (we do take credit cards) on the night.
