Brian Ogawa and Jazmine Valte
Have been friends for over a decade and teamed up during the pandemic to launch Soosh, their signature “home-a-kase” concept. With Brian’s 25+ years of experience at some of the world’s most renowned sushi establishments, including Nobu Global, and Jaz’s creative vision and all-star operations brain, the duo built a top-tier mobile sushi experience that blends tradition with bold, outside-the-box flair. Together, they’ve reimagined what sushi dining can be, bringing the art of omakase into homes, events, and unforgettable moments.

SOOSH Sushi
Brings bespoke sushi dining experiences to your home or event space. Our most popular offering is the "home-a-kase" experience, a seated, coursed-out dinner where each dish is individually plated for an intimate, fine-dining feel.
For a more relaxed vibe, we also offer family-style dining, which is a favorite among our repeat private clients. For larger gatherings and special events, our stunning Soosh Bar is always a showstopper.
We’ve served events of up to 500 guests. Our sushi grazing tables, a curated spread of assorted nigiri, rolls, and sashimi are consistently a crowd favorite. We’ve also created everything from crispy rice stations, hand roll bars, tray-passed bites, hibachi, teppanyaki, Japanese BBQ, dessert bars, to ramen stations. If you can dream it, we can create it. Every detail is curated to your vision. We bring the full team: chefs, servers, mixologists, and more. All menus are customized and personalized just for you.

ABOUT IAN BLACKBURN, WINE EDUCATOR - 25 YEARS OF INDUSTRY SERVICE
Ian discovered the wine industry at the ripe age of 21 while working for famous chefs such as Thomas Keller and then at 24 for Joachim Splichal in Los Angeles’ top dining rooms. The discovery of wine and his endless need for knowledge quickly engulfed Ian’s life, and his passion redirected his career from restaurants and hotels to vineyards and education. In 1995 LearnAboutWine.com was born, becoming the first website dedicated to wine education. With over 25-years of experience traveling the wine world, Ian is a published author (Wiley Publications, 2002), has 10 vintages of top level winemaking on his resume at Beekeeper Cellars, and is considered one of the region's best wine educators. Ian’s push to evolve and his ability to pivot has produced a strata of new concepts such as, ZoomIntoWine.com (virtual education), Merchantofwine.com (the family’s online wine store), and now the return of in-person gatherings with LearnAboutWine.com - using all the great gathering spots in LA as potential venues.merchantofwine.com | learnaboutwine.com | beekeepercellars.com
