Susana Miller is a preeminent teacher of milonguero style social tango. She coined the term “milonguero” after observing social dancers in the milongas when the tango renaissance started in Buenos Aires in the 1980s. She carefully studied the dancing styles of the older anonymous and intuitive milongueros to transmit it to new generations of social tango dancers. Susana is the original owner of El Beso, founder of La Academia de Tango Milonguero, and a prolific international teacher. Her work as a teacher has shaped the popular art of tango as we know it today--not only in Buenos Aires, but around the world.
Fernando Ulises & Jenny Jiang bring a rare, direct milonguero lineage shaped by decades of teaching, DJing, and organizing across Argentina, China, Europe, Asia, and the U.S. Fernando grew up in a Seattle–Argentine tango family and has trained with Susana Miller since childhood; Jenny discovered tango in Buenos Aires and met him at La Garúa, sparking a partnership devoted to preserving the milonguero tradition. Their classes are musical, practical, and connection‑driven—helping dancers become more efficient, adaptable, and authentic on the floor.
