Perfect for beginners or those that just want a refresher, the Survive Outside program offered by AdventureSmart is a great way to learn the value of preparation for safety in outdoor activities. Augment your basic outdoor survival knowledge by taking the “Survive Outside- A Guide to Outdoor Safety,” program offered by AdventureSmart.
Follow our imaginary hiker Jo as she heads into the hills and illustrates each of the key elements of outdoor safety.
Complete a trip plan and leave it with someone you trust so a search and rescue team will know where to begin a search if you do not return at the intended time.

The evening will feature:
- A 60 minute presentation, followed by time for Q&A
- Light refreshments
- Time to shop afterwards and 20% off all regular price products
It's also the perfect time to either stop by and cross of your Trail Challenge hikes, or sign up for the first time! There is still lots of time beofre August 2nd to get out into nature and cross off those hikes.
