Surrey/Langley SITP: Sasquatch!

If you search for "Sasquatch" on Amazon.ca you'll find a few hundred books about Sasquatches and the like (Yety, Bigfoot, Grassman, etc.) One fine example is: "The Psychic Sasquatch and their UFO Connection." You might even find DVDs on the same topic.
This begs the question do these really creatures live around cites in the Pacific Northwest? Or farther our? Does Bigfoot hide with intent to avoid being seen? Might they be responsible for knocking over garbage cans or home break-ins? Is there any solid evidence of their existence? If so, what is it?
