Hey Surfrider Northern Ohio chapter members (and those interested in becoming one!) Please join us for appetizers (cash bar also available) at our chapter meeting Thursday October 6, 7-9 pm at Merwin's Wharf as we welcome Jill Bartolotta, Extension Educator at the Ohio Sea Grant and Stone Laboratory School of Environment and Natural Resources. Ever seen a Seabin or a Bebot? These awesome new trash removal technologies are currently being piloted in our Great Lakes to tackle the 22 million pounds of plastic entering the Great Lakes each year -- with over half entering Lake Erie alone.
Ohio Sea Grant in partnership with Meijer, Council of the Great Lakes Region, and Keep Ohio Beautiful, are piloting our Ohio locations!
